MacGregor has won new davit orders from Astilleros Zamakona shipyard (Spain),  destined for Esvagt AS – a service operation vessel (SOV). The orders include one of MacGregor’s largest davit systems, which is specially-designed to ensure safe transfers in heavy weather.

The MacGregor HMD G150 system designed for daughter craft (included in the orders for Esvagt AS) and one of MacGregor’s largest davits has a 15-tonne lifting capacity, and the smaller six-tonne capacity HMD A60-type davit, is designed for man-overboard/rescue and workboats.

They also include a shock-absorbing system, high-speed constant-tensioning winch, anti-pendulum system, and an automatic parking cradle for daughter craft. The davits will allow to easily transfer technicians, tools and spares as part of their offshore duties.

Safe launch-and-recovery of daughter craft in rough weather conditions is ensured by the anti-pendulum system, together with an adjustable painter-line boom and a guiding system.

Both davits will meet the standards for noise and vibration limits. The A60 davit, as the G150, also includes a high-speed constant-tensioning winch system, guiding system, shock-absorbing system and an automatic parking cradle.
